2014 Entry – 4 Leaf Clover

Four leaf clovers are considered as a symbol for luck, success and achievement, but I think they are also that it is a symbol of belief and hope. They are forces that pull us through obstacles even though we may think that it is all luck. I created this piece with only 3 jade leaves because one may think that only a four leaf clover would bring them luck, but behind what is visible there is a silver clover leaf which symbolizes our own hopes hidden inside.

The whole piece is approximately 5cmx5cm.

The jade is approximately 17mmx20mm.
